Hearing Loss Association of America

The mission of HLAA is to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss by providing information, education, support and advocacy.  Its primary purpose is to educate its members,  families, friends, coworkers, teachers, hearing health care providers, industry, government, and others about hearing loss. HLAA provides adults and children with tools for self help; sensitizes the general population about the special needs of people who are hard of hearing; and promotes understanding of the nature, causes, complications, and remedies of hearing loss.

American Tinnitus Association

Tinnitus is the perception of ringing, buzzing, roaring, or other noises in the ears or head – when there is no external source of the noise. The American Tinnitus Association (ATA) is the national champion of tinnitus awareness, prevention, and treatment. Under its guiding principles - Education, Advocacy, Research, and Support - the ATA offers prevention programs in schools, urges governmental and private organizations to support hearing conservation, funds the nation's brightest researchers, and facilitates self-help groups around the country.

American Academy of Audiology

The American Academy of Audiology is the world's largest professional organization of, by and for audiologists. The active membership of more than 10,000 audiologists join together to provide the highest quality of hearing healthcare service to children and adults described by our national slogan "Caring for America's Hearing." The American Academy of Audiology promotes quality hearing and balance care by advancing the profession of audiology through leadership, advocacy, education, public awareness and support of research.

National Council on Aging

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is dedicated to improving the health and independence of older persons and increasing their continuing contributions to communities, society, and future generations. It is a national voice for both older Americans and community organizations, leading advocacy efforts on important national issues affecting seniors.
